Grandma Christy and Grandpa Bob's

A trip to Grandma Christy's and Grandpa Bob's would not be complete without a trip to Farr's for ice cream! Daddy has been going here since he was little and so we have to carry on the tradition! You think I would get better smiles out of the girls after ice cream, right!?!
I had to include this one to document in history how difficult Lucy can be to take pictures. She is oh so stubborn sometimes! :) But I love that face no matter how grouchy it is!! And of course Sadie being such a good helper with Daphne!
Daphne was LOVING Grandma for feeding her so much ice cream!!! She would not let her stop! :)
Look at that happy girl!
They love to get the Play Dough ice cream! It is delicious and messy all at once! Look at all those cute girls!!!
So yummy!
Lily is too cute and getting so big. She was loving the baby, a.k.a. - Daphne. She was being so sweet and helpful to her!
Look at that big girl walking! She has been so close to walking for so long and of course when we are away from Daddy she starts! We got it on video and sent it to him so he could see. She took her first steps to Lyndsee...of course! :) She LOVES Lyndsee!
Aunt Bekah, Aunt Kirsten, Grandma Christy and Grandma Jean enjoying the beautiful weather and Grandma and Grandpa's perfect backyard!
Uncle Colin and Hannah play with Lily.
The kids love to run inside and be the lookout on the balcony. Look at that beautiful face! Boy to I love her!
Grandma took the girls to the Dollar Store for treats and this is what Sadie came home with. Haha! Only a Grandma would say yes to those! :) Grandma Christy hurried inside to tell me she was sorry before Sadie had time to show me! I love it! And the jingly sound they make is totally cool! ;)
We love to go play at Grandma Jeans backyard too! She has a nice new deck that we were enjoying! Daphne was enjoying sitting in the big chair next to Grandma Jean! She is so big!
Lily and Lucy helped Grandma make treats for a get together with Daddy's cousins. They were such good helpers spreading out the dough for cookie bars! The best part was licking their fingers clean! :)
Grandma Jean is always so sweet with the girls! She was helping this big girl show off her new skills!
I just absolutely LOVE this picture!
Grandpa LOVES taking the girls racing and they always fight over who gets to ride with Grandpa! Lucy was with me and Grandpa was trying to crash into us here, but I have mad skills so he couldn't! He was impressed, although he should have known! ;) Especially since I was driving AND taking pictures! :) I LET them pass me...
Lucy and Mommy! So much fun!
Grandma Christy is always SO entertaining to the girls! It always is a reminder to me to slow down and just play with them! They play TONS of games and read TONS of books whenever we are together!
Hannah is such a good cousin! She is so sweet to always play with the girls!
Sadie ready to play!
The rule at Grandma's is: Eat as many Popsicles and you can!
She is getting so big!!!
Grandma's baby grand is always fun! It's so beautiful, it just begs people to play it!
Such fun summertime memories! We are SO glad that Grandma and Grandpa are just a drive away! It is great to be able to come visit!!

A visit with great friends!

We got to meet up with our good friends on our way back through Utah. We went for a little walk to Bridal Veil Falls up Provo Canyon. It was SO nice to see them. They were planning on moving to Texas when we moved but then plans changed. We hadn't seen them since! Back in the day, they were like family! We spent so much time with them! We even saw Abby, their youngest, be born! We always talked about their older two girls Hailey and Camryn babysitting our kids (this was before we even had kids and they were our girls ages). We love them dearly! Dallas wasn't there, he was with a friend but us girls all got to hang out! Sadie and Lucy loved their girls.
Sadie and Abby really had fun together.
Lucy loved their dog and Hailey and Camryn were sooo sweet to them all!
They had fun playing around in the freezing cold water!
And Carrie and I had a great time catching up! It was such a fun visit! We love them dearly!
Daphne chilled out in the stroller and was, of course, such a good little girl!
Sadie "accidentally" fell in the water and got all wet. She was upset that she would have to ride all the way back to Grandma and Grandpa's soaking wet. So I created a "diaper" for her! She thought it was hilarious! It was Daphne's shopping cart cover! But she was comfy, so it worked! I love that Daphne is sticking her blanket up her nose! :) She loves to take the corner and sniff her blanket and sometimes put it in her nose! haha. She will even hold it up to my nose so that I can be comforted by sniffing it! :) She is too cute!

Grandma Connie and Grandpa Lane

Our very Best Friends in Texas always go to Boise to visit their family there, so we kept in touch about dates and planned on meeting them there! The girls and I drove up to Ogden Utah to visit with Chris' parents for a little bit, and then drove up to Boise. We had SO much fun to say the least! The girls already knew Grandma Connie and Grandpa Lain from when they would visit in Austin. But it was extra exciting to go to their house! And so nice of them to welcome us there! Especially to share their sweet family with us that we just love so much and that they don't get to see very often!
There house is Grandkid Heaven! They have a swimming pool with a diving board, trampoline, teeter totter, ping pong, hot tub.....everything! We never had to leave! As you can see, we spent most of our time in the pool! Sadie especially never wanted to get out! She is a fish! She was even doing all the tricks off the diving board! She is one brave cookie! I was surprised that she was keeping up with the big kids! I was also surprised that Grandma Connie kept up too!!! She did all sorts of tricks off the diving board! I was impressed! What a fun Grandma!!! Here is Sadie doing a handstand.
Lucy LOVED staying on the steps and playing with this fish! She played with it for hours! She is very cautious and stays where she can touch!
Daphne had fun swimming with Mommy. She loved splashing in the fountain!
We did venture out a few times. One of these times we went to the Children's Museum! We used to always go to the Austin Children's Museum with the Bates' so this was just like old times! It was a cool and very hands on museum. We loved it! This seat was attached to a pulley system so they pulled themselves all the way up and then got to swing down!
They all loved it!
It was hard work!
Look at these cute girls! They sure do love each other! Notice their matching outfits. They each have BFF clothes that they HAVE to wear whenever we are together! I love it!
A GIANT bubble wand! This was loads of fun! They could have stayed at this one exhibit for hours!! So much fun and so many laughs!
On our way out of town we stopped at my Aunt Jill and Uncle Jerry's house. We got to see them and my cousin Bethany and her little kids. My Gramps lives with them too so we were excited to see him! We had a nice visit. My Aunt Jill is always so sweet! She got us some yummy snacks and we got to hang out in their beautiful backyard while the kids had a blast playing and swinging on their tree swings! It was a really nice visit!
Isn't he the cutest!?!
We were sad to head back home after all our fun! But we missed our daddy! We had such a great time! We got to share so many fun memories with so many people that we love dearly! It was a GREAT trip! We are definitely blessed!

Loud and Crazy 4th of July

We had a low key 4th of July. We went swimming with Tricia and boys during the day. We had so much fun splashing around and relaxing in the sun. We stayed for hours! Then we came home and had a yummy YUMMY BBQ. With Tricia around we always have yummy recipes a plenty! :) After we filled our bellies, we ventured out all the way to our front yard and did our own fireworks. The kids had fun watching them. Thankfully Chris didn't tip any of the fireworks over at us, so we were safe! :) (He has done that before, and the fireworks were shooting right at us!)
Cute little Daps! I love her face. She loved the fireworks! Except the loud ones!
Thankfully, big sister Sadie was there to help her feel safe! They have such a sweet connection! They really do love each other!
I do love Lucy just as much, but she was NOT into having her picture taken today! So here is Sadie and Trevor looking cute!
You do get a cute butt shot off Lu on this one! haha! She is always oblivious to the fact that she has a huge wedgie! I love it!
As you can tell by all our attire and hair, we had such a fun relaxing 4th! It was so nice! It was nice to hang out and just be together!
