And we were Splishin...

I can't believe how much fun they can have in like an inch of water! Here is our silly girls in our half deflated blow up pool, but they obviously didn't mind one bit. LuLu having SO much fun splashing around!
Sadie being crazy silly! She was doing all sorts of poses for the camera!
Cute girls! Lovin' the summer heat! While Mommy and Daddy kick back on the deck! What a beautiful summer night!
Look at that bathing beauty!

Silly Sadie!

Lucy's 1st Haircut!

We decided the "mullet" needed to go! So she got her first haircut! It is too cute! The pictures didn't totally turn out because I was in such a hurry because she was a bit sad whenever she wasn't holding onto me (hence the sucker!). But these ones are okay. She looks so cute. It is a little bob but it makes her hair look more "baby" rather than a bob. It's so cute because she looks younger! Lately she will just come up to me, pull on my pants and say Mama for me to pick her up! She is such a sweetheart! Sadie also got her hair trimmed a little, as did I. Plus I got mine back to my natural color without highlights! It is a fun change! We had a fun beauty morning!

Computer Junkies

Lately the girls have been LOVING to play games on the computer. Sadie is getting so good with the mouse. So she will play and Lucy will just watch. It is too cute. They also like to just click on the different characters and then there are usually some small clips of the actual cartoon...so they watch that! It is so cute and has allowed me to get stuff done while they play! Nice!

O is for Orange

This is for the girls alphabet book. I happened to dress them both in orange shirts today so I stopped by the grocery store to get orange popsicles! Some letters are kind of difficult to think of something for...and you wouldn't think they would be. Tricia helped with some of the harder ones! Thanks!

J is for Jump

I am making an alphabet book for the girls using pictures of them for all the different things. I needed something for the letter "J" so we took some pictures of the girls jumping...since that is a favorite around here! Here are some that we got. Sadie LOVES to look at the pictures of her jumping. She laughed SO hard the first time we looked at them. It was so funny! Lucy really holds her own on the trampoline! They love to tumble around together!

Playdough!

The girls love to play playdough! It is so fun that Lucy is getting big enough to do these activities with Sadie! They love it! Although she did try eatting the playdough more than once! It is nice to see them being sweet with eachother and just playing together. They are such sweet girls! We started to get some heat going for the summer after all the rain but then another storm came so we have been getting more rain. Lucy is just in her diaper because she climbed through the doggie door (of course) and went and splashed around in all the puddles on the deck. Silly girl! The first one, Sadie finally noticed I was taking pictures and she had me take a series of different pictures...from her foot to her sleeping to her being silly. I loved this one! She is such a ham!

Best Babysitter Ever!

Here is Sadie and Lucy with their favorite babysitter Rebekah! I came home the other day and they we dancing upstairs in these cute outfits! (Bekah said that normally Lucy has a certain hat on but they couldn't find it!) Too cute! They LOVE Bekah! Even Lucy gets so excited when we say it is time to go get Bekah! She stops whatever she is doing and runs toward the door saying her name over and over! CUTE! Bekah always comes and sees the girls in nursery and sometimes takes them to nursery! She is the best! We all love her!

Playing on the sandbar

Okay, so there was too much fog in the morning when we were supposed to go whale watching. So we waited for the afternoon tour. We passed the time by going to play on this sandbar during low tide. Sadie was still not feeling too well and Lucy, well, she was easily convinced to take her pants off and jump in the water. They were splashing and having a great time. We did a little tourist shopping and had some lunch and went for an ice cream at a little ice cream parlor. Then we went whale watching. I would love to say that we had the best time and that I had a ton of pictures but Chris gets really sea sick and I get sick as well...so he was out on deck the whole time and I tried to stay inside and take care of the girls (but had to ditch them off onto Rebekah and Rachel and their crew for about an hour or more while I went out to get some fresh air - they were troopers - they didn't come get us until they themselves and their kids were all throwing up!) Anyway, Kirsten got some good pictures of the whale so it can go down in History that we DID see a whale after all that! After the boat docked we all went to a little grassy area across the street and just lied down for about 30 minutes! We looked around and there were quite a few people doing the same thing! Then we had a fun bus ride home winding around mountain sides and making frequent stops! We had an advenutre to say the least!

Gorgeous Maine...and a little family history

This is the location of his house when he lived in it.
This is their original well! Crazy how well it has held up!
Part of his house...I loved this lantern thing. I doubt it was there to begin with but whatever it is cute.
The head stone. You can barely read his name!
There were other headstones but you can't see the writing anymore so they don't know who's they are.

There's the house! Cool!

Here are some pictures of I took while we were at N. Haven Island, Maine. They are of Chris' 4x great grandfather, Nathanial Thomas' Home and homestead (the headstone is his Dad's - Samual Thomas). He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff and sold all his belongings (home included - which are the pictures) and came to be with the rest of the Mormons treking West. What a sacrifice! Anyway, I hope I got that history right. It was REALLY cool to see. Maine was absolutely beautiful. So much history there...you can just feel it. We had a blast!

Cowboys, Cowgirls, Won't you come out tonight!

Sadie and Shane had fun climbing on these cow statues at a shopping area here in Austin. We had a little picnic and then went shopping! Boy was it hot! Tricia took these and they are too cute. Especially the one of Sadie...surprise surprise! Just kidding! Okay I am too tired and I have to go to bed! I am supposed to be editing pictures too! Seesh!

We're BAAA-ACK!

Okay, so I had pretty much given up on this until Aunt Linda emailed me asking for this and I realized I hadn't done anything in over a year! And then my sisters are talking about them and friends sharing them etc. so I figured I should join in to stay in touch with everyone! I do enjoy looking at other people's, so why not share. Anyway, I am starting with this family picture taken on our vaction to Bar Harbor Maine! Definitely my favorite place I have ever been! It was absolutely gorgeous and care free. But this picture makes me laugh because this is Lucy's smile! If you ask her to smile, she will look at you like this and sometimes add a head tilt! And when she sees toddler/babies in books (specifially the Baby Words book) she looks at me like this copying the babies! It is funny! I will post more later but I thought I would start with this!
