Dinosaurs!!

While we were in Utah we went to TWO different Dinosaur Museums! Lucy found a new love for Dinosaurs! She loved it! The first one we went to (in Ogden) has a section where there are replica's that move and roar. Sadie used to be scared of this at Lucy's age but Lucy was trying to reach through the fence to the baby ones! It was so cute!Allison, Sadie, Lucy and Elizabeth. You can buy little animal food pellets to feed the fish and animals. The kids loved it! Lucy loved the bunnies. (Don't ask me what bunnies have to do with dinosaurs, but hey, if it makes the kids happy...great!)
Feeding the fish!I came over here to take picture of everyone and Sadie joined me and totally posed for a cool shot! I turned around and there she was! So cute! Right at the foot of a dinosaur!!
Then after we went to the cabins, we came back down to Utah to see my Mom who flew up to SLC and then my sister Tricia and her boys Shane and Trevor who drove up from Vegas! So we were so happy! We got to stay at my Aunt Kay's house! We ALL LOVED staying there! She is so sweet and so hospitable!! The kids loved all her toys and different toy rooms. And we loved to visit and relax! Also, every morning we would wake up to a delicious fresh breakfast!!! My Aunt Linda and Cousin Kristen and passes to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point, so we got in for really cheap! It was fun to be with them! I have to mention, that first we went to the Quilted Bear in Sandy for some fun shopping! And best of all the Hungry Bear! It's a little restaurant inside the Quilted Bear! This lady runs it all by herself and has done so for years!!! It is the BEST!!! Yummy soup bowls, cookies, cinnamon rolls, Navajo tacos...everything!!! Ummm, I want it right now! Tricia and I would always go there when we were in college. We would go so much that she would recognize us. Well, it's been a few years, so she did not recognize us, even though Mom felt like she needed to share our story, of course! :) It was so fun and so yummy! We also got to see our cousin Melissa and her sweet little baby! He was so cute and so big! Sorry, no pictures from this part of the trip! I was starting to get sick of carrying my camera around! So here we are at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point! Lucy coming out of a tunnel! So brave!
They had a really cool sand and water area with trees and dinosaur's and stuff to play with! The kids loved it! Here you can see Shane, (unknown girl), Trevor and Sadie! They had so much fun building dams to block the water!
Sadie and Lucy.
Okay, this makes me laugh! Sadie found this dinosaur to sit on and Lucy was so upset because she wanted to sit on it. I told her she would be next, but she couldn't get over it. So then when it was her turn, she jumped right on, "smiled" and then was off! So this was her picture! I hope all that crying was worth it!At least Sadie's turned out cute (minus Lucy's arm and leg!).Here is brave Sadie! Wanted to go sit right by the shark. Lucy walked fairly close and then decided she wanted me to hold her. But she did like to LOOK at "Bruce" as she was calling it (from Finding Nemo for those of you that don't have a child under the age of 6 and might not know that!).Digging for bones very carefully!

More UTAH!

We got to go to the Sweet's Factory tour! It was so much fun! You get to go right on the floor! The only problem with that is you have to stay within the yellow lines...try telling my girls that!! UGH! We had fun though and especially enjoyed getting FRESH candy! I loved the salt water taffy and the jelly bean without the hard shell on it! Yum!! Oh, we couldn't bring camera's in the actual factory part. So this is all you get...us watching the intro video. Don't we look hot!?!We got stuck in traffic (huge accident closed to 2 major freeways!!) so we figured, since we are stuck...lets make it fun! It actually turned out really fun. We had dinner and then went to Temple SquareLucy loved all the fountains and needed tons of pennies at each one! She is running back for more!!
I LOVE how Sadie is knocking!! How stinking cute!! The kids were obsessed with wanting to go IN the Temple! It was so cute! They all had to try to open the doors!
Then we went to the Church History Museum. The kids had a lot of fun in the Children's section!Lucy and Lilly coloring.
All the kids loved playing in the "nursery." It's so cute to see them taking such good care of these babies! This picture makes me laugh! She kept checking the baby's eyes I guess! She is so funny!
Hold to the Rod!

We ended up getting home late, but we had a great time!!

#3

We interrupt these vacation posts for an important news break!I wouldn't necessarily be spreading the word yet, but first of all, Chris doesn't understand why "women wait to tell." And was telling everyone! Even put it in his profile on FaceBook! And second, Sadie leaked the news at playgroup yesterday! We were all sitting around talking and the conversation lulled and Sadie comes up to my friend Lyndsee (who is 6 months pregnant) and says, or should I say screams with excitement, "My Mommy has a baby in HER tummy!!!!" I just totally started laughing!!!
We were also going to wait to tell the girls but we were just too excited! So Sunday I printed up ultrasound pictures of both of the girls. We showed them to the girls and talked about how they were pictures of them when they were growing in Mommy's tummy. Then we asked if they could guess what was going on in Mommy's tummy now.......silence. So we told them there was another baby growing in Mommy's tummy! Sadie squealed with excitement and Lucy just kept asking to see the baby! Sadie said, "I bet it's going to be.....a brother, or a sister!" There's a good chance she will be right with that one!!
Then yesterday, I was eating some cereal for breakfast, not feeling good and needing some food in me QUICK!! So I was sitting there and felt a little bug bite or something on my hand and looked down at it. We hadn't let Missy out of her crate yet and at the same time that I looked down, Missy whined and Sadie said, "I just heard the baby!!" I guess with me looking down toward my tummy and the whine, she thought it was the baby!!
Anyway, I am only 7 weeks, so please when it is February and March, don't say comments like, "You're still pregnant!" or "You haven't had that baby yet!?!" because I will be feeling that way too!! and I probably won't be able to resist the urge to slap you! ;)
My tentative (online calculation) due date is April 18th. So we told the girls around Easter time is when the baby will be big enough to come join us!! As soon as we said that Sadie started listing off all the different colors of Easter eggs she is going to find for the baby!! We are all excited!!!! An April baby is just want I wanted!! Yeah!!! We now can't wait to find out if we will be having a brother or a sister to add to the mix!!! Patience is not one of my best qualities!! We love you sweet little baby!

Grandma and Grandpa's House!

We were so glad to be in Utah and be able to go to Grandma Christy and Grandpa Bob's house!!! It was so nice to be able to spend so much time with family!! The girls LOVED being with their cousins!!! They really enjoyed eating out on the deck whenever they got the chance. My girls got spoiled and developed a new love for pancakes since Aunt Bekah makes pancakes for her girls almost every morning!!! One afternoon we had some of Chris' cousins over. Grandma and Grandpa's back yard is perfect for slip-n-slides with little perfect hills! So all the kids had fun with the slip-n-slide while the parents got to relax in the shade! It was so nice. Tricky Sadie!!!!
Cute little LuLu!!
Cute little Lilly had so much fun with bowling! I loved that she would let me take pictures!! I love the little serious stares!!!! SO CUTE!

Abby enjoying a refreshing Popsicle!

This is sweet little Brandy Girl!!! She is Aunt Kirsten's and we ALL just LOVE her! She is getting so old so I just wanted to cuddle her up!!!! The girls loved watering Grandma's garden!!

Friends and Fun!!!!!

Yeah, I finally am getting to all our fun vacation pictures!!! So here is the start of our trip! We did the drive from Texas to Utah (YUCK!!!) with some friends (YEAH!!). So it was my friend Sheila and her 4 kids, and then me, Sadie and Lucy, joined in their car! It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The last few hours on the way back home was obnoxious but it was okay. Also, a major bump in the road was when we had a blow out about an hour past Lubbock! Good thing this happened on the way THERE or we would have all killed each other! When we first pulled over to the side of the road and saw the damage, we realized the jack was under ALL the luggage in the back. So since I have AAA we called. They said it would be about an hour, so we figured by the time we took all our luggage out and started, they would get there. So lets not waste OUR energy and just wait. So we waited, and waited and waited! Finally after an hour and a half I called and they said they were having a hard time finding someone and that it would be about an hour or so more!!!! They had even put a "rush" on our claim because we were on the side of a freeway with 6 children!! So we were annoyed and said, okay lets just do this ourselves. So we start to pull everything out and get the jack out but as we are we realize we don't have a flashlight and can't see a thing!!! So we HAVE to wait for them now! So as we are waiting we are trying to conserve gas, the battery etc. But the kids need entertainment so we've got movies going, DS's charging etc. We started the car every now and then to get cooled off since it was so hot! We couldn't roll down the windows because there were tons of mosquitos! Which we were already getting eaten alive from a few that snuck in while we were getting in and out. Finally after 3 hours of waiting on the side of the road, the guy came and by this point we needed a jump too!!! So another hour and we were on hour way!!! 4 hours totally wasted!! Considering how annoyed the adults were, the kids were amazing!! Like I said, we were just so glad this happened on the way there!!!! We had moments when we just all screamed as loud as we could because we definitely needed to get it out!!! It was fun and the kids loved it!! Sadie said on our second day of driving on our way back from Utah, "Why do you lock me in the car every day!!!!" (Here the whining!) It was hilarious!!! Here's the damage.
Left to right: Sadie, McKenzie, Lucy, Kaleb, Colton, Beau
Happier times!!! Swimming and being FREE!!!!! Colton and Sadie.

Poor Lucy was sleeping and didn't get to join in on the fun. But here is Sadie, McKenzie, Colton, Beau and Kaleb be silly in one blow up pool!

We're Back!

We just got back from a 2 and a half week vacation to the cabins in Driggs Idaho! We had a BLAST! The kids just ran free and explored all day long! They loved it! We are so lucky to be able to have a beautiful place to go visit whenever we need to get away! It really is a little piece of heaven! I LOVE all the aspen trees around the cabins and watching the leaves dance in the wind. I also LOVE the storms! They are the best!!! We got to spend so much time with Chris' family and it was great! I took these pictures right as a storm was rolling in! It was great! These wheat fields are just out in front of the cabins! I wish they weren't green still, but I was excited to take pictures anyway.

I have a lot more pictures but I will post them later. Chris and I are leaving on a cruise to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel on Sunday so life is crazy right about now! Stay tuned...
