Jam tommorrow Jam yesterday!

But never ever Jam today! (Do any of you remember that freaky TV version of Alice in Wonderland with the Jaberwalkie? That weird white lady sings that Jam song and then turns into a goat. Crazy! But that song has always stuck with me!) Anyway, we made our Jam yesterday. It was so much fun! And surprisingly easy! We met with some friends over at Angelica's house so the kids played for a while and then helped during the fun parts! It was so much fun! Thanks Angelica for hosting and making it so easy for us all!We kind of started late because that was when we could all get together so Lucy only lasted for one double batch worth. So Sadie and I finished up at home. But boy did Lucy LOVE the jam! She had her own jar that she was dipping her hand into and then eventually sticking her mouth and tongue into to slurp it up! YUMMY right!?! It is so yummy though! I am wanting to eat so much of it! Angelica even made some homemade bread so we could taste test our delicious jam! It was so much fun! We will definitely do this again!

Strawberry Fields Forever!

After my Hot 80's Party, we went with some friends (Matt, Angelica, Vivian and Grant Mings) to the Strawberry Fields to pick strawberries. Then on Monday we are getting together to make jam...so I will have more pictures to come! We all had so much fun! It was like a treasure hunt, finding these beautiful red strawberries. Even as we thought we were done, we would see one hanging there screaming our names! Sadie was LOVING the hunt! Lucy on the other hand picked EVERYTHING! We had to weed out some of her pickings later!
Vivian and Sadie
Look how cute Angelica and Grant are...what a team!
There was lots of mud so we had to be tricky to avoid it. Although Lucy did have one encounter! This was even after I wiped a little off.
She was NOT happy about it! She does not like to be dirty! (you would never guess that because this girl is always filthy! but I guess she isn't always aware of that daily dirt) But Dirt Dirt! YUCK! When we first started she put her hand down on the ground and then saw the dirt on her hand and said, "Eeeewwwwww! Sick!" I helped her brush it off. So, after she fell in the mud she was ready to go home. She kept saying, "Lets Goooo!" Since we weren't giving in to her whining, she went off and pouted. I am SOOO sad to say that I don't have a picture of this, I was too slow at getting my camera back out, but she was pouting (my I remind you - about being dirty) and she decided to plop down on her knees in the dirt and bury her face in the strawberry plants! It was hilarious!!! After we got our share of Strawberries, we went to see the animals on the farm. They LOVED the donkeys. We brought some carrots to feed to the donkeys which the girls LOVED! I liked hearing their chomping sounds!
This Donkey was totally albino or something! Kind of creepy!
Of course we had to get some of the home made ice cream. The girls got vanilla, I got strawberry, and Chris got berry berry (but then Chris and I switched) they were all SO good!It was such a fun day! We loved being together and just having fun! And might I add that the weather was perfect!!! It has been so nice here and we are really enjoying it! Hopefully it will last a while before it gets too hot!

Like, Totally Rad!!!

My friend Sheila and I were talking about 80's movies one time and there were some similar movies that we both totally watched and loved when we were younger so we thought we should have an 80's party! Her husband is out of town on a fishing trip this weekend so she took her kids over for a slumber party at Grandma and Grandpas (NICE!) and we had our Bodacious 80's Bash! It was tons of fun. The best part was to see the way people dressed up and acted!

The Hosts: Lanae and Sheila rockin' it!
Angelica and Joy. Angelica was hilarious when I answered the door, standing all sassy and said, "Like, HI!" It caught me off guard and totally fit the part!
Kim, Aimee, Heather. Kim's hair was PERFECT! Totally believable!
Lyndsee and Lanae! The pizza guy got there just as Lyndsee was getting there...he thought we were crazy Fer Shur!! :) (Surprisingly for him, no alcohol was involved in our shenanigans! )
Joy and Lyndsee Hangin' Tough!
Angelica, Celia, Audra and Rachel. Rachel's dress was Awesome! Sequince and a bow in back and everything!
Sheila, Colleen and Janet! Hot Mamas!
Playing games! Colleen is trying to cheat off of Rachel's but Rachel is too quick! Gotcha! ;)
The mayhem from getting ready! Wow, 80's is too much work! "She works hard for the money!"
So much fun! We played a few reminiscent games of naming the tv show by listening to the intro music and naming cartoons by looking at the picture. Then we watched some of the intro's which was so fun! I must say, the one that freaked me out the most was the Get Along Gang! As I was searching for old cartoons and stuff I found this and thought it sounded a little familiar so I clicked on it and OH MY GOODNESS, did everything come back! I think I had a coloring book of them because I remembered coloring them and I could smell smells, everything! It was CRAZY! Do you remember them!?! Anyway, the best part of the night was just having fun and chatting with good friends! We had pizza and 80's snacks like twizzlers, twinkies, reeses pieces, tang, fig newtons, some were inspired by different 80's commercials that we watched as well. It was fun to hear every one's stories and memories from hand made pound puppies to which Barbie's they had and of course the precious Teddy Ruxbin (which I wanted so bad) and Popples! So much fun! We watched "She's Out of Control" which is a lot more scandalous than I remember! :) But so RAD! Then, a few of us stayed to sleep over! It was so much fun! One thing I did learn is that I am so glad I don't have to dress like that everyday! YUCK! So much makeup and NOT a flattering era! Thanks Ladies for coming and making it such a fun time!!

Peace Out!

Cookies and Milk Anyone!?!

Laundry is NOT my favorite task, but I was being SO good and immediately putting away a load of laundry that I JUST took out of the dryer. YEAH! When I finished, I came downstairs to see this on the kitchen table!
First of all I must say, that the floors were just mopped and my precious little Sadie did NOT spill a DROP!!! Not even on the table! I don't think I could have done as good a job as she did! We were almost out of milk so she poured the entire contents out of both jugs! I totally started laughing and grabbed the camera! At this point she was getting cookies and naming off everyone in our family and all her friends and which bowl was whose! SO CUTE! She was wanting to have cookies and milk with all of us! We saved one for her and then had fun busting out the funnel and pouring it all back in. My only dilemma is we have 2% and nonfat so now it is a mixture and I only like nonfat. So I will wait until I go to the grocery and get more! Which needs to be soon anyway!

Fun Times!

We went to the gym yesterday to work out and we pulled up and it was crazy...cars EVERYWHERE! I totally forgot they were having some Healthy Kid festival thing! So since I get to workout more than Chris I stayed with the girls and he went in a worked out. They had so much fun stuff there! Jumping things, slides, fair type games and prizes! The girls had so much fun! Too bad I forgot my camera! I was surprised at how much Lucy really enjoyed it and wanted to do EVERYTHING!!!! Even the big huge blow up slides she climbed up all by herself and went down! She LOVED it and was having so much fun with the fair games! They walked away with tons of prizes! Then when we had done everything at least once, I took them inside so I could get a little bit of a workout. Then when we were done we realized that the gymnastics gym was open for free play!!! Boy were the girls excited!!! It is right across the hall from the little day care and so they stand on the bench and look in the window at it EVERY TIME we are there! They love to watch and see all the cool stuff that goes on in there! I know, I need to sign them up for classes! Anyway, they had a BLAST!!!! Lucy did NOT want to leave but by this time it was about 1:30 and no lunch for any of us! It was an unexpected extra fun activity!
So Chris was coloring with the girls today after church and as I was cleaning up later I found this and it brought a smile to my face!
It looks like someone is ready for a vacation! We have not been to the cabin since before Sadie was 1! So we are in need! And it is obvious that Chris really is in need! He works so hard and barely gives himself breaks! I am so proud of him and how responsible he is! I know I would take a few "sick" days here and there just to sleep or something, but he NEVER does! He won't even take a sick day when he is sick! He is the best employee ever! We are so appreciative to him for all his efforts to provide us with the things we need! And to top it all off, he is the BEST husband and Daddy ever!!! Thanks Chris for all the fun times!!! We love you!

Chuck E Cheese!

Yep! Sadie, filled up her sticker chart again! She has been doing so good! So we went to Chuck E Cheese this last weekend! They had so much fun! We kind of got a late start because I went shopping (ALONE!!! and for ME!!!) after conference this weekend and we were thinking to just do it for family night but boy did she remember! She woke up from a nap and instantly talked about it! So we had to go! With Sadie having a nap and Lucy had a late nap...we figured we would be okay. They were loving it!
Playing together so cutely and so excited to see Chuck E Cheese! Lucy was literally following him around waving and yelling "Hi Chuck E!" It was so cute!
She even gave him high five! (Which seems to be the safest thing for them! Not getting to close but brave enough to touch him! and then feeling so proud and excited afterwards!) Lucy ran and told Daddy and Sadie that she gave Chuck E a high five so we had to take Sadie to find him. We did and she gave him a high five and then a thumbs up, because on the sign outside Chuck E was doing a thumbs up! And she said, "my Daddy do's this!" It was funny! Because every night when we are saying goodnight Sadie and Daddy do "thumbs up, I love you and then hook'em horns and they say "rock on!" It is funny and Sadie loves it! One of the promises with going to Chuck E Cheese was that they got the BIG Popsicles at the end! We got these once with some friends and I didn't realize how HUGE they were! But they LOVE them! Surprisingly they were both completely done with them before we got home! And not too incredibly messy! We had a fun time and we are looking forward to her next chart reward which is going to the children's museum. She is so funny about picking her rewards. :)

AMAZING

This was on my sister's blog and I HAD to share! I know we are all getting so uplifted from conference this weekend but this will complete it! The best part for me was that Sadie came over and started watching it with me and she started asking so many cute questions! She is so sweet and is always so in tune and sensitive to other people's emotions! As a photographer the photos amaze me! These people were truly inspired! Also the song it is to is one of my favorites! It's always hard to get through the song but then adding these breath-taking pictures, grab some tissues! Seriously, go watch this video!!!!! It's about 5 minutes and so worth the time! I love the emotions they captured in all the pictures! AMAZING! Like the one with John the Baptist! So neat! Click on the link below and...Enjoy!
