A Christmas Miracle...

We are so glad to see the prices of gas going down, down, down! Hasn't yours gone down this much!?! :)
Chris was late for work the other day and NEEDED gas so he had to hurry and stop. He didn't even realize what happened until later! He paid $3.45 for 19 gallons of gas!! He said, it was 1.74 for the highest octane and so someone must have entered it wrong and he got it for $0.174!!!! I wish he would have told me so I could have filled up! :)

Christmas Program

Sadie's last day of School before the break, her school did a little Christmas Program. It was so cute and so fun to see her singing up there! Let me warn you: Chris could not take work off this year for the program, so it was just ME...manning the video camera, the regular camera, and crazy/silly Lucy! At one point she almost knocked my BIG camera off my lap! But I caught it, no worries. Also, they brought the kids out oldest to youngest. There is a kindergarten class at her school so they were first and did a few songs. We could see Sadie and her age group classes starting to line up in the hall. Just as the kindergartners finished and Sadie was about to come in, Lucy says, "I need to go potty!" Ahhhh! So I had to set down the cameras and run to take her to the bathroom (she is not at the stage of holding it in too long!) Luckily she went really fast and we ended up following the last little girl in! We made it! I have yet to watch the video of the program and I am not sure I want to while I am still pregnant, in fear that I might throw up! Lucy was being CRAZY! Anyway, so all the pictures are not of the actual singing, but either before or after the fact since I wanted to record the songs. She did so good and had a lot of fun with it! Her and her friend Alexa were being so silly by the end of the program and really hamming things up! It was cute!
Sadie and Alexa were being silly about putting on the reindeer hats. :)

Getting ready and in position for the Reindeer Tango! (They do this song but it is the Turkey Tango for their Fall Feast; but recently Sadie has been singing it "reindeer" and I thought she was just confused, but now I see!) :)

Side Note: No Sadie is not wearing a frilly Christmas dress, I know. First of all, she is not frilly! Second, it was hard enough to get her to wear that red and white striped shirt! At least it's better than last year when she was in khaki's and a blue shirt! So be proud! Especially you Tricia! ;)

Merry Christmas!

We woke up this morning to the girls running into our room saying "Merry Christmas! Lets go downstairs and open presents!!!!" So we jumped out of bed, happy that they let us sleep until 8:30! They wanted to run downstairs without us, but we quickly told them the rules of Christmas...you need to wait for Mom and Dad and let us go and get cameras and stuff. So they patiently waited at the top of the stairs! Lucy was trying to peek around corners. She even saw that Santa really DID come because the cookies we left out were gone! So they got so excited! When it was time to come down they were ready to go!! Sadie said they had to close their eyes, but we had to go against that idea as they were coming down the stairs! Sadie got there a little quicker than Lucy and she instantly ran to her new scooter! She was so excited! She rode it around a bit and then dropped it and moved on to more presents! It is so funny to see the difference between them and their ages. Sadie opens a present, squeals with excitement and then chucks it into her pile. Lucy opens a present, squeals and then immediately asks for someone to open it. She just wants to play with it right away! Here she is trying to take off her jammies so she can put on her new dress-up from Trevor!Sadie quickly unwrapped her stuff in her stocking and decided to go help Lucy, since Lucy was too busy enjoying the gummie life savers she got in her stocking! :) It is so cute to see them interacting so sweetly! Sadie would unwrap something and be so excited for Lucy and show it to her! So cute and so sweet! I am getting so excited to add another sister to the bunch! They will have so much fun!
Towards the end of opening presents, poor Sadie just kept finding all of Lucy's unopened presents! Seriously, we were completely done within a half an hour! It is so crazy that all that wrapping and work is over and done with so quickly! But boy is it SO worth it! I LOVE to see their excitement and joy! It's so funny when moments like this make me realize that I really am an adult! I don't care to even get anything, I just want to see my sweet little girl's excitement as they have dreams come true! I LOVE seeing how excited they get and how they TRULY BELIEVE! When we tell them something about Santa and their eyes light up! We told the girls how Missy kept going outside last night and was barking at something (which she really was), which must have been Santa and the Reindeer! They were so excited! Lucy was so cute last night as we were setting out the cookies, milk and carrots on the fireplace, she got scared and needed Daddy to hold her! She didn't want to stand by the fireplace! It's cute to see her grow up and her imagination grow! I remember last year Sadie being scared, but she was fine this year. :) They have been having SO MUCH fun playing with all their new toys! It has been nice for Chris and I to rest (and watch Wall E)! Lucy has been "Mommy" all morning and Sadie and I have been "Sisters" while Chris is the "LITTLE Brother" - "little" since he is always teasing us! :) It has been a fun Christmas! It is so nice to be together and just have fun and play! I LOVE Christmas! All the new games, toys and fun and of course, wrapping paper!! I better go get my shoes on since we are going outside to ride bikes! I need to test drive MY new bike!!! :) Isn't it perfect!!!!Seriously, I had to post this picture just to document our neighbors decorations! They drive me crazy! Sometimes Texans can take it a step too far! That is supposed to be Santa in Longhorn attire and he is doing the hook'em horns thing! And notice the long horn pulling the wagon sleigh! My girls think it is a farmer with his cow! And then pretty little angels singing by a tree! Hmmm, I don't get it! That's what I get to look at everyday! And they made it themselves and are SO proud and arrogant about it! NICE! Don't I look hot! I have moved onto Chris' jammies since they are more comfy! Nice and flattering! But don't worry, I don't wear his clothes!
Sadie has already asked when it is going to be Christmas again, meaning Christmas morning since it still is Christmas! We obviously had a great time and are already looking forward to our next Christmas together!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So tAcKY!!!!

We had a fun little tAcKY Christmas Party with a few friends! It was hilarious! We all had so much fun finding some tacky clothes and gifts to bring. I was impressed with some of the tAcKY food that was brought as well. I loved Kim's celery Christmas tree with Parmesan cheese sprinkled as snow! We brought vienna sausages and of course Chris had to position them and cut them up to look like the male anatomy! ;) The Reindeer Poop was a big hit...one of the few things that was actually edible. :)We had a tAcKY gift exchange and had a lot of good laughs with some of the items brought! I really wanted the candy bra! But I did luck out and Chris got a Scentsy plug-in warmer (with Lyndsee's business cards plastered all over it!) Ummm, and don't tell Sheila but Chris took the trash out tonight and saw that Stuart left us a "perfectly good" George Forman grill from Goodwill, with just a little bit of meet hanging off the side! - Dry heaving as we speak!

And they're off!

After working on everyones pictures and Christmas cards, I finally decided to do ours! So yeah! They are finally out! They came yesterday, I stuffed and addressed them last night and the girls helped me put the stamps on them and take them to the mailbox this morning! They had lots of fun putting the stamps on! Lucy liked to put more than one on the envelope and Sadie liked to put some on upside down. They were great helpers! Yes, notice Lucy's big girl panties...she is doing GREAT! She hasn't had any accidents for a LONG time! She is doing really good at telling us when she needs to go! YIPPEEEE!

So, keep looking for our Christmas card in the mail! They are coming soon! Happy Holidays!

Christmas Tag

1. Wrapping Paper or Gift Bags: For Christmas, wrapping paper only! It's so fun to have such a huge mess to play in on Christmas! We always have to take our picture in ALL the wrapping paper and then make it "snow." So the more the merrier!
2. Real or Artificial Tree: Artificial. It is just so convenient and easy.
3. When do you put up the tree: Some time after Thanksgiving and before Christmas! :)
4. When do you take your tree down: I Cry the Day that I Take the Tree Down! (Think The Forgotten Carols)
5. Do you like eggnog: I only like it at 50% I need it to be 1/2 milk and 1/2 eggnog.
6. Favorite gift received as a child: When I got a DOG! I asked for one EVERY YEAR! And every year I got a stuffed animal of a dog! :-P But one year I finally got one! I was so excited I cried!
7. Hardest person to buy for: Parents. They have everything and it feels like we have done all the cute and creative things already.
8. Easiest person to buy for: myself! :) Just Kidding! (but not). Our kids! I have such and easy time spending money on them. I just love how exciting it is for them Christmas morning. To cute!
9. Do you have a nativity scene: I have my favorite one, Willow Tree!! The girls have the Fisher Price one too and they love to play with that one.
10. Best Christmas gift you ever received: hmmm...maybe when Chris totally surprised me and got me a NICE brand new set of golf clubs!
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received: I love all gifts equally! :)
12. Favorite Christmas movie: White Christmas. I still need to watch it. As a child my sisters and I would sing the songs and dance together, we even lip synced to the song Sisters at a church thing. I also love to watch the Sound of Music on Christmas. I don't know why but we always do!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas: It depends. Some things I buy way early, but then I usually procrastinate some!
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present: Probably.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas time: Toffee!!!! Chris' family has the best recipe! My Mom always makes peanut brittle and Chris loves that and is sick of the toffee. But boy do I love the toffee!!!! That and Stephen's Mint Hot Chocolate!
16. Lights on the tree: White.
17. Favorite Christmas song: Oh Holly Night, I get chills every time I hear it. Also, The Forgotten Carols!
18. Travel at Christmas time or stay home: Stay home. The stress of getting everything ready isn't worth it. I think if we want to visit family we'll do it after Christmas!
19. Tree Topper: A little Angel. I need a new topper.
20. Can you name all of Santa reindeer's: Of course. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph... with the help of the song.
21. Open the Christmas gift Christmas eve or morning: One on Christmas Eve, usually their new Christmas jammies, and the rest Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year: Annoying shoppers and it's always so crowded at the stores and I just need milk!
23. Favorite Christmas dinner: I usually like ham because it's not a lot of work!
24. What do you want for Christmas this year: a bike, and perfume.

Now everyone do it to! It is fun!

School Pictures

I am usually a big planner for "important" events and am overly freaky about them. Like, birthdays, holidays, pictures etc. But every now and then I totally space them. This is one of those forgetful moments. I totally forgot that it was picture day until we were going out the door! At least I am catching her on a normal/everyday look, right?! This is how she normally looks and not all froofy, so it is good that way. Well, normally she does look a little more run down and mismatched. :) But she IS 4 and we absolutely adore her and all her crazy, fun, sweetness!! I just want to tickle and tease her when I see these pictures!! She is so fun! (and don't worry, I bought the disc of the photos, so this is legal...I didn't scan them in. As a photographer that bothers me!)
