Merry Christmas!

We woke up this morning to the girls running into our room saying "Merry Christmas! Lets go downstairs and open presents!!!!" So we jumped out of bed, happy that they let us sleep until 8:30! They wanted to run downstairs without us, but we quickly told them the rules of Christmas...you need to wait for Mom and Dad and let us go and get cameras and stuff. So they patiently waited at the top of the stairs! Lucy was trying to peek around corners. She even saw that Santa really DID come because the cookies we left out were gone! So they got so excited! When it was time to come down they were ready to go!! Sadie said they had to close their eyes, but we had to go against that idea as they were coming down the stairs! Sadie got there a little quicker than Lucy and she instantly ran to her new scooter! She was so excited! She rode it around a bit and then dropped it and moved on to more presents! It is so funny to see the difference between them and their ages. Sadie opens a present, squeals with excitement and then chucks it into her pile. Lucy opens a present, squeals and then immediately asks for someone to open it. She just wants to play with it right away! Here she is trying to take off her jammies so she can put on her new dress-up from Trevor!Sadie quickly unwrapped her stuff in her stocking and decided to go help Lucy, since Lucy was too busy enjoying the gummie life savers she got in her stocking! :) It is so cute to see them interacting so sweetly! Sadie would unwrap something and be so excited for Lucy and show it to her! So cute and so sweet! I am getting so excited to add another sister to the bunch! They will have so much fun!
Towards the end of opening presents, poor Sadie just kept finding all of Lucy's unopened presents! Seriously, we were completely done within a half an hour! It is so crazy that all that wrapping and work is over and done with so quickly! But boy is it SO worth it! I LOVE to see their excitement and joy! It's so funny when moments like this make me realize that I really am an adult! I don't care to even get anything, I just want to see my sweet little girl's excitement as they have dreams come true! I LOVE seeing how excited they get and how they TRULY BELIEVE! When we tell them something about Santa and their eyes light up! We told the girls how Missy kept going outside last night and was barking at something (which she really was), which must have been Santa and the Reindeer! They were so excited! Lucy was so cute last night as we were setting out the cookies, milk and carrots on the fireplace, she got scared and needed Daddy to hold her! She didn't want to stand by the fireplace! It's cute to see her grow up and her imagination grow! I remember last year Sadie being scared, but she was fine this year. :) They have been having SO MUCH fun playing with all their new toys! It has been nice for Chris and I to rest (and watch Wall E)! Lucy has been "Mommy" all morning and Sadie and I have been "Sisters" while Chris is the "LITTLE Brother" - "little" since he is always teasing us! :) It has been a fun Christmas! It is so nice to be together and just have fun and play! I LOVE Christmas! All the new games, toys and fun and of course, wrapping paper!! I better go get my shoes on since we are going outside to ride bikes! I need to test drive MY new bike!!! :) Isn't it perfect!!!!Seriously, I had to post this picture just to document our neighbors decorations! They drive me crazy! Sometimes Texans can take it a step too far! That is supposed to be Santa in Longhorn attire and he is doing the hook'em horns thing! And notice the long horn pulling the wagon sleigh! My girls think it is a farmer with his cow! And then pretty little angels singing by a tree! Hmmm, I don't get it! That's what I get to look at everyday! And they made it themselves and are SO proud and arrogant about it! NICE! Don't I look hot! I have moved onto Chris' jammies since they are more comfy! Nice and flattering! But don't worry, I don't wear his clothes!
Sadie has already asked when it is going to be Christmas again, meaning Christmas morning since it still is Christmas! We obviously had a great time and are already looking forward to our next Christmas together!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

That sounded like our Christmas minus the dress-ups! Don't you love that bike? Shane was like Sadie opening presents and Trevor like Lucy! Glad you guys had so much fun. We love you so much. Merry Christmas.
